Do you want to have the opportunity to complete 9 monthly rotations gaining a broad range of skills & knowledge working alongside highly skilled staff including Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists & Consultant Physiotherapists?

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Band 6 rotational scheme. The 9 monthly rotational scheme covers a wide variety of specialist in-patient rotations including;

Burns and plastics, Neurosciences, stroke, Critical care rehabilitation, specialist surgery (including liver & renal transplants, ENT), Cardiothoracic, Trauma, Medicine, Elderly Care, Respiratory Support Team, OPAL ( Older persons Assessment and Liaison team), Musculoskeletal out patients (including acute and chronic presentations and multi trauma patients) ,neuro outpatients & Norman Power Centre ( Inpatient rehabilitation)

The department is involved in research projects within various clinical specialties

The Physiotherapy service actively supports CPD and personal development for all staff. We have a comprehensive in service training programme and run courses within the department.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The successful candidate will be involved in the assessment and treatment of patients across a wide variety of clinical specialties.

Applicants should have completed core rotations in Neuro, Respiratory and Musculoskeletal and have experience of working in an Acute NHS Trust.

The post holder will support the supervision of band 5 physiotherapists, assistant staff & students on placement.

Key skills for this post include good communication skills, clinical reasoning, prioritisation, delegation and time management.
