Are you passionate about helping people? Are you looking for something different? Come and join our Tobacco treatment team. No smoking cessation experience required as all training will be provided.

We are looking for 3 tobacco treatment advisors to join our team. The post holder will need to be kind, highly motivated and an excellent communicator . You will need the ability to organise your own workload and have a high level of enthusiasm and flexibility.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the Trust Tobacco Treatment service to ensure safe, well organised, evidence based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provide to all that access the service.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

Provide behavioural support and treatment in relation to tobacco smoking

Take referrals, including self-referrals into the service and work with patients to identify the most appropriate tobacco dependency treatment pathway

Support the day to day running of the Trust Tobacco Treatment Service to ensure safe, well organised and evidenced based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provided to all that access the service

Work with patients during their inpatient stay to engage them with an appropriate tobacco dependency treatment pathway, and support these individuals after discharge or ensure smooth transition to community stop smoking services where appropriate

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential

Higher Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care or a equivalent qualification in a relevant health related subject, or a commitment to working towards plus further

experience to diploma level.

Good level of secondary education for maths and English at GCSE or equivalent level.

Experience

Essential

Understanding of the drivers of ill health and mental health.

Experience of working within a mental health setting or with people with mental health conditions or Learning Disabilities.

Evidence of previous team working.

Experience of working with service users with complex mental health needs or learning disabilities.

Confidence in working with a wide variety of partners.
