Band 6 Theatre Team Leader
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within our expanding theatre department. We currently have vacancies for Band 6 ODP's / Nurse Team Leaders in our Theatres at Good Hope Hospital.
We are a regional centre, supporting some very complex Orthopaedic cases so our team are dedicated, friendly and enjoy teaching and sharing their skills with new staff members.
Experience of working within an orthopaedic setting is essential. Candidates will need to be a band 5 with a minimum of three years' experience. You will need to be flexible and able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and be able to adapt to clinical demands in an environment that can be unpredictable and challenging.
The candidate must have the clinical experience in orthopaedics scrub in order to support the junior workforce.
To join our innovative and motivated multi-disciplinary teams, individuals should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be flexible and work under their own initiative whilst adapting to clinical demands. You will provide professional leadership to dedicated theatre teams whilst developing and maintaining high standards in all areas of practice. You will show initiative, flexibility and have the ability to prioritize and manage the demands within these elective and emergency settings.
There is also an opportunity to enhance your management skills and be actively involved in supporting the department from a management viewpoint with moving the department forward.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Our Trust has excellent opportunities for a Band 6 Team Leader to develop, enhance, consolidate and excel their Theatre Skills, in Anaesthetic, Scrub and Recovery.

All applicants are required to work a range of shifts including earlies, Long days, and bank holidays. There will be cross site working should this be required
