Thoracic Theatre Practitioner Band 5
We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated applicants to work in our Thoracic theatres at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. We have two full time thoracic theatres based in Ambulatory care. As part of the Thoracic theatre team you will care for patients of all ages and support them through their theatre journey.
We cover a wide range of surgical procedures for both Cancer and non cancer patients. Ranging from the Laser of airway tumours through to bespoke chest wall reconstruction involving multiple specialities. We are also introducing robotic surgery to the Thoracic speciality in the coming months. This will provide an another lever of exciting opportunities for learning and skill development as we introduce this new service.
Successful applicants will undergo in house training specialising in Thoracic surgery and will be required to cover a range of shifts, which will include weekends, bank holidays, early/late/night duty, and the out of hours on call services.
