We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Renal Staff Nurse to join our renal services team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with acute and chronic kidney disease, supporting patients through acute presentations, peritoneal dialysis and conservative management pathways.
There are excellent opportunities on both the renal medical ward and renal surgical ward for a nurse with an interest in renal care, or for an experienced renal nurse looking to further develop their skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
-Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to renal patients
-Monitor patients during dialysis and respond appropriately to clinical changes
-Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and ongoing care planning
-Work collaboratively with nephrologists, technicians, dietitians, and the wider MDT
-Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection control standards
-Participate in clinical audits, service improvement, and ongoing professional development
About You
Essential:
-Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC registration
-Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
-Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
-Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care
Desirable:
-Experience in renal nursing or PD (training can be provided)
-IV competency and cannulation skills
-Experience working in an acute or chronic care setting

*Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to Professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register i.e. ( Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health)
*Evidence of undergraduate education for newly qualified nurses / or post graduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post registration experience
*Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months)
*Willingness to become a practice supervisor / assessor to or meets Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment
* Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses can apply this to undergraduate training or post graduate practice
