Job summary
We are expanding our Nursing team across our Emergency Department's at Birmingham Heartlands (BH), Good Hope (GH) and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QE). As part of this, we have opportunities to expand the Nurse associate role further. This is an opportunity to join a growing team, dedicated to delivering compassionate person-centred care within a supportive, engaging and positive working environment. The workload throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same.
We have a dedicated clinical education team to support our staff and allow you to build on your existing nursing skills for your future career and development within Emergency Nursing.
We have full and part time position available and offer a range of long and short days and support flexible working.
With any role within UHB, each post comes with the support of our team and managers. This is extended by support from our School of Nursing, AHPs and Midwifery. Main duties, tasks & skills required
We have vacancies for Nursing Associates with an active NMC pin number as well as nurses about to qualify and receive their NMC pin number who have an interest in Emergency Nursing to come and join our dynamic team.
Previous Emergency Nursing experience is an advantage but all applicants will be considered as long as they are willing to learn. All successful applicants will have a structured and supported induction period and will be able to access ongoing training and support from within our clinical training and education team.
Alongside the support and training provided by our in house clinical education team, you will also have a dedicated Band 7 team leader to support you alongside our in house well-being teams
As a management team our focus is on your development as a band 5 staff nurse with the opportunity to undertake extra professional development at University level providing it benefits the ward area.
