Band 2 Material Movement Operative
Job summary
To undertake all operational RDP duties
Associated with the ordering/requisitioning receipt and temporary storage of goods and their subsequent distribution to end-users in accordance with agreed procedures and delivery schedules.
Working hours 6:00 - 20:00
Location- Meteor Park.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
To receive, inspect and check all goods delivered to the RDP, reporting any discrepancies apparent from associated order copies and delivery receipt or documentation to be marked accordingly.
To accurately pick goods from shelves/racking at the RDP using authorised requisitions and suitable pack for issue to customers.
To oversee or assist in the unloading and loading of vehicles, marshalling or securing containers in an orderly manner on receipt, for return to supplier or distribution to end users.
To check and put away received goods into correct stock locations in the ward ensuring stock rotation.

Qualifications
Essential
Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Experience
Essential
To have worked within a warehouse.
Will have an understanding of stock rotation and location systems.
Will have an understanding of barcode Systems
Will be able to prioritise picking tickets and requisitions to meet input and delivery schedules
To have a sound knowledge of item functionality
Additional Criteria
Essential
Will have proven computer/Keyboard skills.
Will possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable.
Punctual.
Motivated.
Team Player.
Evidence of commitment to Continual Professional Development (CPD)
Desirable
Will possess an up to date Fork-Lift Truck License.
