Job summary

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with knowledge and experience within Breast Imaging to support the Breast Modality Manger in leading our Breast Screening team as the Deputy Breast Modality lead /deputy programme manager. In this key role you will support service delivery of the Breast Screening Service for South Birmingham Screening Programme and the Symptomatic service and Radiographic team and the multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be HCPC registered, with a BSc or Diploma in Radiography and post graduate award in breast imaging is essential, with advanced practise in breast imaging. Experience of leading a team, evidence off supporting staff development and training would be an advantage.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

You will have an opportunity to develop management and leadership skills, to support the breast transformation programme. A management qualification would be an advantage but is not necessary. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise within the breast modality providing advice, education and support to staff and other key stakeholders. The expectation is that 80% of the job role will be managerial and 20% clinical, however, this is dependent on service needs.
