Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Trials Administrator to join the Digital Health Research Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The Digital Health Research Team specialises in Cardiology covering a wide range of innovative clinical trials that combine, data science with traditional clinical trial delivery. These trials include but are not limited to the HYPERMARKER randomised controlled trial which will combine pharmacometabolomic with artificial intelligence to improve the treatment of hypertension; the DaRe2THINK trial (funded by the National Institute for Health Research) providing an entirely new approach to remotely deliver clinical trials nationally across Primary care. This offers the post holder to be at the cutting edge of clinical research delivery in the UK and worldwide

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The post-holder will provide administrative support for the team based at University Hospitals Birmingham and the University of Birmingham led by Professor Dipak Kotecha. You will need to be comfortable communicating with people at all levels and across different organisations. You must be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands, possessing excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, a willingness to learn and flexibility are essential. An understanding of the NHS research environment, research delivery tools and the use of healthcare data would be beneficial.
